The Post-Historic Art movement was best summed up by Philomena Bakingspree in her memoirs, What a Relief. Ms. Bakingspree describes succinctly the dread of the then-present-day artist: this will likely never be seen and will be immediately forgotten. She said:
Now that all information is recorded, all information is history, and equally valueless. Recorded information is either relevant within the current conversation, or it is relegated to being forgotten in the Collective Memory. […] History is no longer relevant; we are post-history.
